Music Director

St. Gerald Music Ministry 

The mission of the Music Ministry at St. Gerald Parish is to support the gospel message through song, and challenge the assembly to live it more fully. The personal goal of the Director of Music Ministries is to develop a prayerful, singing assembly through preparation, celebration and education. There is an opportunity for every parishioner to participate in song, whether as a chorister, cantor, instrumentalist, or a member of the congregation.

Adult Choir- Ages 15 + No experience or music reading skills necessary. If you like to sing, join us! Rehearsals meet weekly on Thursday evenings at 7p.m. in the church music area. Adult choir sings weekly at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass, and for special occasions.

Festival Choir-Can’t make the commitment for the entire season? Join the adult choir for special occasions . Summer choir rehearsal is 30 minutes prior  to the 10:30 a.m. mass. 

Contemporary Youth Ensemble-Join us  various Sundays of the month at the Noon Liturgy.  The very popular Phil Caffee will lead  a teen group in music and song to lift your spirits !  Come see Phil and the ensemble perform and get involved in this dynamic group. Sunday Instrumentalist- If you play an instrument, share your talent by playing at any of the weekend Masses or just on special occasions! Play whenever your schedule permits.

Cantors-If you are an experienced singer, lead our parish family in song at the weekend Masses. Training and coaching will be provided. Sing up to cantor whenever your schedule permits. Cantor meetings are incorporated with the end of regular choir practice. Meetings are each week Thursdays,  8-8:30 p.m. or with an appointment style rehearsal time with director.
